Welcome friends to the tornado shelter! Richard Garay, CEO of Fun Stampers Journey announced to all coaches who were Manager or higher were eligible for a visit by him to one of their downline meetings. My upline was one of few who earned the privilege of having Richard attend her meeting in New York, living in Kansas, I never dreamt I would be able to travel to New York, but it worked out, I was able to attend. Wow, it was a full day and a half event in other words, it was a mini convention! The event theme was “Stamping Sara-Toga Style”, in retrospect to a nearby horse track. Our invite requested everyone to wear big fancy hats, dresses, and high heels, to spice up the authenticity of the event! Friday evening was action packed featuring four “awesome” make-n-takes, including three demonstration tables each, demonstrating a new technique, one of which I demonstrated a brayer technique. Saturday was a fun loaded day, starting off with Richard demonstrating new techniques/stamp sets, followed by a yummy hot lunch, an opportunity to place bets on a hand crafted betting wheel with the capability to win, place, or show for free FSJ products, and last but not least the day ended with a question and answer time with Richard. Wow, it was fun! Wish you could have been there!
Each attendee received a “free” ATS (Artist Trading Stamp) “Mommy’s Pony” in their goodie bag. I was asked to use this image and make a number of cards for inspiration. At the time, I didn’t realize I was being a featured as “Featured Artist” along with two others whose assigned stamps were different. Pictured below are the cards that were exhibited at our “Stamping Sara-Toga Style” event. I hope you don’t get to bored looking at the same image but I tried to change it up by using a number of techniques and styles using same image. I hope you like them and thank you so much for looking.
